MomWebs : Web Hosting

MomWebs This website is hosted on MomWebs -   I looooove them.   They are super inexpensive but have magnificent customer service.   I've had Scott from MomWebs fix things ranging from my own own idiocy to hackers putting malware on me.   I can't recommend them more.   And at only $5 for 3 months, well - you can't beat that anywhere!

Why do you need both of these sites - I assume one does something the other doesn't, etc but what?

The reason I use both SBI! and other hosting like MomWebs is because SBI! doesn't allow PHP. (PHP is a programming language). This site uses PHP to run the forum, and to run Amember (the script the membership site runs on), and also to run certain other programming.

SBI! is a great platform to start a website on especially if are new to website building and traffic generation, but the downside is that it's made so you can't break anything too badly (at least I think that's the reason they don't let you run PHP!). PHP makes dynamic interaction possible, but also makes it easier to break your website.

Luckily, SBI! builds in a way to map outside hosting to your SBI! domain so once you do get to where you need more, you just add on an outside host with another domain, map it to your SBI! domain, and in the eyes of the search engines and everybody else it looks like it's all part of the same thing.

Probably clear as mud, but that why I have both :)
