So cool!
I just took a look at the survey results from the recent Online Jewelry Business Survey and to my shock I realized that there are already over 500 responses!
I never thought I'd get that many. And it looks like they're still coming in. I only asked "I'm Making Jewelry in my Jam Jams" newsletter subscribers to do the survey - I didn't go anywhere else.
When I asked people to do the survey, I thought, "Jewelry making newsletter, how many sellers or wanna be sellers could there be"?
Well I guess there is a LOT. For every one person who took the time to respond and do the survey, there's probably 3 or 4 who didn't have the time or didn't see the email. Holy Crap!
I am so glad I got this much response. I'm invigorated and excited all over again. Survey respondents (maybe you were one!) gave me a TON of really useful feedback to go on so I can create these lessons to suit your needs.
Here's a summary of the results:

(Hopefully this will be quick to load. I had to make it into an image to show it to you, and I tried to get the filesize as small as I could and still make it readable)

Survey Summary - Online Jewelry Business survey Sept-Oct 2009
(Gotta get my kids ready for school. Later, Christine)

I worked with a site on Artfire, put in many hours. It was hard to work with you couldn't put your pieces up in the order you wanted them in they went in the order you put them in you really couldn't change it easily. No sales. I don't mind hard work have done it all my life but it has to be worth it. I really don't think Artfire is, it's just another Etsy. Having your own site is to me the way to go. Especially the way Christine has explained it. It seems the better way to go .
