Hey,

Christine here from howtomakejewelry.com and I'm recording this because I got this new handy dandy voice recorder thing that plugs right into my computer.

I got this because I have been writing these really long e-mails lately and they are sucking up my time and I want to be able do these things quicker: like e-mailing you from time to time with news and updates and information and not have it suck hours out of my time.

I tend to be verbose when I am typing and I am not that talkative so hopefully it will take up less of my time and less of your time.

So the reason I am writing today is, or speaking today I guess you would say is because I am working on the lessons, I wanted you to know about that and I'm getting lots and lots of questions about jewelry business, running them online and what the lessons are going to be about and I just wanted to address a few of those questions.

I'm not going to do that right now; I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that those would be coming in the next few days and let me know if you like this audio format if its, if you like it and just want me to keep on doing it or if you find it really annoying.

And would rather read in print if you want to read in print I'll probably get someone to transcribe what I say which will not be coming out probably immediately with the voice recordings because it takes a little bit of time and I am certainly not going to do it myself!

So we'll talk soon.

One more thing I just remembered I mentioned in one email that I was going to writing a special report and I only mentioned it in the one email I think and I know on the sign up page for the lessons that it doesn t mention the special report, but I am writing report so just so, you know, that that is upcoming as well.

Okay bye.

Hi Christine,

This is really exciting! I'm so looking forward to this "experiement". I'm relatively new to making jewelry and just sold (yes, actually made money on one of my pieces, as opposed to giving it away. My husband is over the moon that I actually charged and didn't give in to guilt or niceness :) (a great quality and a not so great one at the very same time) and say, "oh, that looks great on you. You just take it, my gift.") my very first piece. Yippy, yahoo! I will be following along and can't wait to learn, learn, learn and hopefully be able to help you in some way also.
Thanks so much for your book, it helped me a ton, I only wish I had it at the very start of my journey; I wouldn't now have 4 pairs of round nose plyers that I hate and would have started out with the best I could afford. Live and learn :)

Lynne

Good for you Lynne! I'm excited too. :)

Audio is great for me

Cool, Chevette. (Cool name too)

hi Christine,
i listened to the audio and agree that this will take far less time fir you to do. If it means anything, i'm all for it.
I haven't been on much lately since I had a terrible fall which caused multiple fractures to my arm. left one thank goodness. i've been healing some but got complications which caused a set back. i'm very ill at the moment but will be trying to keep up with design until i can make jewelry again. Sorry if this is a mit muddled, i'm only now learning to find the keys with one finger and looking at them.

Yes, I'm an audio retainer too. I'm looking at transcription services so people can just skim later. I'm planning on leaving them up for awhile.

I really do love the voice recording. I feel the same as you. Sometime writing emails and reading them do suck up so much time. I am hoping to have my online jewelry shop going soon. Of course, I am just trying to find the time to make matter some techinques. I am definitely in the practicing stages, still. Not, quite ready to sell.

Kelly

The thing I like is I can start your verbal message and listen while doing something else. Yes, I know, multi-tasking can drive you crazy but there are times it works well.

Like it, like it! It will save time for both of us. I think that I can retain things much better when I listen than when I read. Will the audio's be available to re-read at a later time?

Christine,
I like the audio. It feels a little more personal than writing.
Thanks,
Barb

Thanks Barb :) It's so great that you're here! We're going to have a lot of fun.
