It's no secret that selling jewelry online means you have to be a resourceful smart marketer. The easiest way to sell your jewelry is to find out what people want and give it to them.

Let me repeat that.

FIND OUT WHAT PEOPLE WANT AND GIVE IT TO THEM

Follow that one Golden Rule of internet marketing, and you'll be well on your way to out   witting the rest of your competition.

Why?

The majority of jewelry makers fly by the seat of their pant and make what they like rather than what people are looking for.   This means you are ahead of the pack right out of the gate.

This post is the first in a series of posts where I show you what people are looking for in the search engines. Search engine marketing is my passion.   I love the "hunt" even when I don't do anything with my research results. This post will share Niches that Start   With the Letter A.   (Guess what the next post will be!)

Let's begin.

Jewelry Niches That Start With the Letter A

  • Amber jewelry
  • Amethyst jewelry
  • Ankh jewelry

Let's look at each in turn and see what there is to see:

Amber Jewelry

Daily searches in Google: 1,988
Competing pages: 329,000

Analysis... A little tough to target this two word keyword phrase, but there are tons of easy pickings in this niche... If you wanted to make our business about Amber jewelry, here are lots of terms that get daily searches:

African amber jewelry
amber and gold jewelry
amber and jet jewelry
amber baby necklace
amber bangle
amber bangles
amber bead jewelry
amber bead necklace
amber bead necklaces
amber body jewelry
amber bracelet
amber bracelets
amber necklace
amber jewelry sets
amber jewelry rings

Here's a screenshot of the analysis brought back to me by Market Samurai (my keyword research tool)

Jewelry Niche Analysis | Amber Jewelry

Amethyst Jewelry

Daily searches in Google: 1,331
Competing pages: 261,000

Analysis: Do-able, but easier to target the less competitive terms and conquer them first, usually.   Let's take a look and see what the competition is like for the more targeted terms:

Amethyst Jewelry Niche Analysis

All in all from the information available so far, I'd pick amber jewelry as a niche to target over amethyst jewelry.   Amber jewelry has almost as many searches for the main term and is easier to gain a foothold in for search engine marketing purposes.

Ankh Jewelry:

Daily searches 325
Competing pages:   only 9,720

Analysis: Holy Canoly that's a low number of competing pages.   And at 325 searches a day, that's almost 10,000 searches a month.   If you were the first listing on Google, you could grab as high as 9,000 targeted visitors a month for that term alone.

And it doesn't stop there... Look at these related keywords that have searches but low competition:

Ankh Jewelry Niche Analysis

Mighty Dinah that looks good!   I'd have to take a look at whether people were actively buying ankh jewelry but this looks like a mighty tasty jewelry niche.

So what are your thoughts?
