Another Question: When will the lessons start? What payment methods are you planning on using (say Paypal!)? I got the feeling these would be weekly lessons via video with homework assignments. Do I have that right? You’re saying a commitment of approximately 1 to 2 hours a day…is that 7 days a week? If so, that’s lets say 14 hours a week…would that include time for homework assignments or would that be additional time we need to plan into our schedule?
I know this will mostly be online oriented, but I’m curious about using online resources (I already have a blog for instance) to promote things like classes we might be giving, a gallery spot we might have or home shows. Do you plan on covering any of these topics? I am contemplating no longer being in my local gallery because of the mark up necessary and the fact that we have to donate time in the gallery and that takes away from studio time. Although I usually bring a demo to do while I’m gallery sitting, so that creates interest. Anyway, as you can see I have LOTS of questions!!!
I see I’ve missed the deadline for the contest, but just for fun:
I need this course because I know I have all the resources, experience and ability to make this work but I don’t know how to reach my potential customers and focus my marketing efforts. After doing your webinar I am convinced that regular daily instruction from someone who has paved the way before me is the most efficient and practical way to do that. Plus, I don’t mind being a guinea pig!!!
Georgene
Hi Georgene,
I’m adding your questions to my list (it getting to be long one!) – I’ll be addressing these this week for everybody
Glad you extended the deadline! I’ve been out of town, and just now got to listen to the video.
I need this course because I have been trying to sell my jewelry for the last 6 years online – and although everyone ‘loves’ it, no one buys it, and I have never been able to find any enlightenment as to why.
Your newsletter has been one of my ‘read it the minute it comes in’ for quite some time – and I see what you mean by ‘relationship’ – you didn’t try to sell me, you gave me good information, you gave me a place to participate, which I think has a lot to do with why you are a success.
I simply want to learn what you have to teach – and reach that tantalizing goal that has been just beyond my fingertips for so long!
I welcome the opportunity to be part of a smaller group, the one all learning together – I think this is such a great part of building confidence and gaining skills without fear. I am looking so forward to it!
Trish
I am having a hard time watching it online, so I am trying to download the MP4 file. But from what I had a chance to see it give lots of answer to questions I had about selling online.
I hope that I manage to download it without problems.
Keep up the good work!
Hi Christine,
Wow. You have some really great information in your video. Do I ever need your program!
I have been making jewelry for about two years. I knew it would take a lot of time and energy to really get my business started. I have researched the web for supplies and tutorials and anything else I could find about jewelry. Many hours have I spent on the computer and “ignoring” my husband as he would say. I just really want to be productive and to be able to contribute to my household.
I had thought about Etsy and Artfire, but being very skeptical just didn’t want to invest my hard, unearned money yet in just anything. It has been a struggle to get things started and I need your online jewelry marketing course. There is so much more to just finding the supplies and tools but really being able to market myself. I have a really hard time of this. I find it hard to even price my jewelry wondering why anyone would want to pay the price for something I have made. I need your help and I believe that it would give me a greater confidence in myself and the jewelry that I create.
Thanks,
Hi again, I might have missed the deadline, but my time is 11:58 pm Nov21
Dear Christine,
I’ve been making jewelry and researching jewelry marketing for six years now. the information you gave in just an hour and a half was more valuable to me than years of prior research. I truly feel you have the content to take my jewelry marketing to the next step. The information is what I have been looking for and not able to find in one spot. I need this course to finally do what I’ve been trying to do for years. I’ve had unsuccessful websites and am so excited knowing your course will finally get me where I’ve been trying to go.
I’m looking forward to being a student of yours!
Mary
It did not work on my dial-up connection, it is a pitty because I was really looking forward to watching the rest of it.
OMG! GEORGENE!!!
Small World! Drop the ex woobeyqueen an email sometime at Beadhussy@gmail.com
Sorry guys this is a quick butt-in just to say hi to someone I haven’t seen in a long time!
Kathleen
Thanks, Christine. I’m looking forward to learning along with you and the others here who are committed to making this a viable business.
PS: Hi, Kathleen! I’ve emailed you. Small world this virtual universe, huh?
I wanted to watch the video but was just crazy busy getting ready for my first home jewelry show this Saturday! If the opportunity comes up again, please let me know!
Thank you
Hey Kim,
I’ll be cutting up the video into relevant chunks and reposting so I’ll let you and everybody else know via the mailing list when that’s ready
Hi,
I missed the video! I have tried to register to hear when it’s up again but the link is broken! Help!
Hi Chrystal – sorry about that. I fixed the link. Cheers, Christine
Darn. Listened to the first half this morning and was looking forward to listening to the rest tonight, but I missed it. Please let me know when it’s up again. Great stuff!
Hey Christine.
Just listened to it again, for the 4th? time. That thing is chock a block with information that I forgot the first few times. Had a great time with the google key words, but forgot completely about the Amazon magazine bit. So I’m going there to tool around and see what they have. My question is, do I understand that the video is going to be transcripted too?
I’ve also been playing around the website. Checking out the charts, the resources, the new note that was put up yesterday etc. Actually there is more information here that first meets the eye. I’m impressed!
Got a giggle out of the email that you sent this morning. “Patience Young Jedi”. Yeah, I’m TRYING. I’ve buzzed all around the site again this weekend, taken the quiz, and the second one, which is the first one (oh, I PASSED! LOL), been checking links and working on patience as I know that setting up a website, working out lessons is a lot of work… I’ve decided to take things to the extreme and zen out some patience. Oooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmm! ROFL! thanks for another opportunity to watch the video.
Hello, Christine. I “watched” the video this evening finally. I’m so glad that I was able to see it – the mindmap part anyway. I was really pleased to see the schedule of rates that you posted in your video. I had put the SBI course on my list of things I wanted to do with my day job bonus money (if there is any this year) but being able to pay monthly will make it much easier.
I know I totally missed the deadline but here are my answers anyway 1.) I really need this course so that I can reach a target audience and 2.) I want this course so that I can possibly be in a better position to be able to work from home full time if something happens to my day job.
It is so nice to know that I’m not the only one who has not been able to “figure this out”!!! Thanks in advance for the time and effort that I know this will require of you!
I was also wondering when the monthly fees and lessons are slated to begin. I saw Georgene’s post with same questions above so will buzz around the site to see if you have posted the answers.
I keep trying to sign in to see/read things and I get the message that my email or password or incorrect but when I key in my email account the system does not send my password. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Jo Moody
Hi Jo,
I just re-sent you your username and password. Please let me know if you don’t get it.
Christine I didn’t get to see your video! I am so busy picking and choosing: deciding on what to check in email-work on marketing-work on my jewelry-learn new bead weaving techniques-and now working on presents to make for everyone-etc……..
And being on disability I can only sit or stand for so long so that interrupts my time spent on each activity. Being chosen as one of your free memberships would mean the world to me! I’ve not had very good luck in the last 6 years of my life-divorced after 20 years, right after having planned surgery on my back, and then having to go on disability, tried to go back to college and got MRSA so they kicked me out til I got better. Well I ended up breaking my ankle and then found out I have Osteoporosis on top of my Fibromyalgia, Degenerative Arthritis, Total Knee Replacement……..and I’m only 49!!
I didn’t want to have to go into such miserable detail-sorry. I’m just praying for a break! I love making my jewelry (that’s all I think about) but do not have the time to do the marketing or do the research needed for the know how.
I’ve been trying to learn the marketing thats why my email is flooded with a lot of newsletters I’m trying to learn it all in a short amount of time so I can add to my measly $694.00 a month!!
I was fortunate that my parents gave me a leg up buying some Swarovski Crystals & sterling silver off of Craigslist. So I’ve slowly built up my supply over the past 2 years. I just joined Etsy about 2 months ago and haven’t even listed anything that I’ve made-trying to learn all about setting up my “shop” and checking out other venues(Artfire, Indiepublic, Twolia).
I do have a blog with a few things on it-received a few followers but no inquiries or purchases! I am to blame for not putting more up but I had a chance to do a consignment for the past month (so I was afraid to list anything in case it sold)-nothing!!!
I live in Michigan and I’m sure our economy here isn’t helping. I’m hoping by the time it picks up I will have all my ducks in a row.
Christine please consider me for a membership. *praying* (I’m usually not this depressing!) Now I’m going to go back and see if I can pull up all of your emails and read-or re- read all of them!! Thanks in advance for everything you do! Is there any way I can at least see the video?
Sincerely
Linda
Purple Lady Designs
P.S. I just tried to open my jewelry glue and both tubes (which are less than 6 months old) are stuck to the thin tip-LOL!! Oh well, gotta laugh!
Hi Linda, sorry, but the contest is closed. But the video is still up – is it not working for you?
This is in regards to the Purple Lady designs.
I totally acknowledge the pain and suffering this lady has gone through and continues to go through on a daily basis.
However, sharing all this with everyone in the hopes of getting a free membership, in my view, is a definite plea for help.
Dear lady, Christine is not a therapist and it is totally unfair of you to put her in such a position.
we all have our stories but there is no place for them in what Christine is trying to do here.
I just had to share my thoughts about this.
Although we all have a story to tell, perhaps all of us on Christine’s wonderful mailing list don’t have the need to know of everyone’s. I enjoy your e mails for their business quality but don’t enjoy them for finding out that someone missed your deadline or the video wouldn’t work. Can we have the general e mails more business specific?
Hi Paula,
The emails are because you have subscribed to get updated when there are new comments on this specific post. I don’t send them (actually I’m kind of appalled you’re getting notified every time somebody comments!) I’ll see if I can stop it.
Hi again Paula,
Here’s how to stop those emails :http://www.handmaderesults.com/857/comment-notifications/
thanks
I tried to do some “housekeeping” as you suggested but this is the message I get You may not access this page without a valid key.
Hi Paula, Did you subscribe to the comments using a different email address? I can’t find you subscribed so there could be only 2 reasons: You used a different email address, or if you were subscribed with this address, you’ve successfully unsubscribed yourself. Vaporized! Poof!
I need this course for the same reason that Trish Thompson gave, I have being trying to sale my jewelry for about 10 months but I have sold just a few, I just can’t find the right market. I used EBay, Etsy, home parties (it’s been the best way so far but not enough) and mouth to mouth relationships
I am not satisfy with these avenues I even had a showing in a high end SPA I sold just one this is ridiculous
I love making jewelry I even think I am addicted to do more and more every day but not enough sales.
I am going to have a Holiday Market sale in Oct. and that’s my hope to get to be known, I really need help very badly
